NCPN Grapes Tier 2 Committee Members

BKN vineyard-3310
The Tier 2 Committee for the National Clean Plant Network for Grapes is composed of 21 positions representing the grape and wine industries, research and extension, and state regulators.  Each group represented includes members from the eastern and western regions of the U.S.

The committee was originally (2008-2010) composed of two regional bodies - the Eastern Grape Clean Plant Network and the Western Grape Clean Plant Network  - each of which had its own governing board. The Western region encompassed California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and the Eastern region included all the remaining states. The two regional boards, called 'Tier 3' boards, were elected separately.  Each regional board provided representatives to the National Grape CPN Board, which was the 'Tier 2' level board that provided oversight to the regional bodies and governance related to national issues. In May, 2010, the Eastern Grape CPN and Western Grape CPN regional boards opted to merge into a single national board.
